Restful Sunday

It is so nice to have a day to reflect. We have so much
to be thankful for. My thoughts are with the folks on the
east coast as they deal with Hurricane Irene. First came
the earthquake, then the hurricane. What crazy weather!
Lately, I am in need of sympathy cards. We struggle
to express our sorrow and I discovered that saying less
is sometimes better. Being there to hold a hand, or give
a hug or make some cookies is my way of helping out.
This week I had two cards to make and this one was
elegant and simple to make. I can express my thoughts
inside. It fits into several challenges:
fabnfunky - monochromatic
Ooh-la-la - no backing paper
Freshly Brewed challenge - embossing

Having Fun

I made this cute little card using a MFT stamp, the dress was pieced with Bo Bunny's Powder Blue Dot, other paper used is from Lily Bee Design and the text from an old textbook. The sentiment comes from Ladybug Crafts and it is printed on Labels 20 Nestabilities. I also used Copics and glossy accents on the shoes. I am entering it into  the MFT challenge #34 and
Little Red Wagon - newsprint
