Ain't She Sweet?

I have no idea what this little gal's name is....but "ain't she sweet! just a walking down the street..."
I am now aging myself! I am at a standstill with my scrapbooking so why not make another card? This stamp is from Whiff of Joy and I coloured her with Copics. I ran the outside of the Nestie on my sewing machine and added some stickles
to the icing....yum! I will submit it to the following challenges:
Ooh la la - pink, pink and more pink
A Spoonful of Sugar - birthday

Hey Baby!

This week, I have been busy scrapbooking as
I am floundering in photos! I am presently working
on a cruise from 2009 and am having a terrible time
remembering the details! Oh...but getting old is tough! lol
My cousin's son and wife had a baby girl and I
made them a baby card...not so familiar a job...
when in doubt, go to your Create a Critter cartridge.
The images are all so sweet! I used scraps of paper
from my stash along with some pink twine. I am
entering this card into the challenges at:
LRW - animals
Cooking with Cricut - swirls and twirls
Scrappy Moms - Create a Critter

So Beary Nice

While I search for my lost pix, I am making cards.
I have decided to get back to scrapbooking and get
caught up. Unfortunately, my laptop had an accident and the pictures disappeared in the final crash. That's when I called in my wizardly son and voila, he has them back on the storage drive but in one big pile. The project is now search and sort. I can do it!
I used the Polycraft stamp, Cuthbert's Party to begin ( he is so adorable) and coloured with Copic markers and prismacolours. I added some Glammer Dust to his star (not too visible) and found some starry paper in my stash. A few brads were added to the bottom. I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Ooh la la creations - for someone special
Incy Wincy Designs - color me wonderful
Colour Q challenge #72 - colours
Lexi's Creations - bears
Polycraft - special birthday

Spring - like...

It is warming up, ever so slightly! I may get the car washed yet this week. If you are stopping by, please be kind and leave a comment and be a follower.
This sweet little stamp is from Sweet Pixies, I have coloured it with Copics and used a scalloped nestie as a frame. I recently learned how to make rolled flowers (under much duress) and found that by misting them with Tim Holtz glimmer mist they take on a cool sheen! Finally, I added some brown pearls. I like the way it turned out and am entering it into these challenges:
LRW - use your mist
Papercutz - butterfly
Phindy's Place - spring
Digital Tuesday - die cuts
Simon Says Stamp - make your own embellishments
SSDS - love is in the air
2sisterschallenge - hearts
Stampingwithdragon - anything goes

Stuffed Pork Tenderloin....my way

I try to plan the next day's dinner the day before. This often takes longer than it should. A few weeks ago, a local grocery store had a steal on pork tenderloins and I stocked up. I searched for a few recipes online this morning but nothing really caught my eye. So, I winged it. I butterflied two loins, flattened each and added some minced onion to one side. I had some asparagus in the fridge that needed to be used so I blanched them for several minutes. Baby spinach was calling out to me, so I added a bit along with the asparagus on top of the onion. The other loin went on top and I secured the "sandwich" with bakers twine. Four strips of bacon was also rolled around the loins and secured with toothpicks. I browned the loins before putting them into the oven at 350 degrees for 45-50 min. It was delicious and there is enough for tomorrow night! Grand total = $ 3.18!!!!

Tracking Stalker

Unfortunately, this week I have had to return my Expression to Provocraft. It was feeling a little sick! I am an overprotective mother and could barely pry myself away from my baby! As I stood at the Fedex office, I sadly waved good-bye but I knew it would be in good hands. To fill my hours of anguish, I am tracking Cricut.....am I sick??? I love to see where it is! It took a flight from Toronto to Memphis and had a quiet night there. First thing this morning, it was off to Salt Lake City. I think it will make its final destination later today...Spanish Fork Utah!!! This whole adventure reminds me of Flat Stanley!!!  Has anyone else had an experience like this? Have you returned your Cricut and have had it returned safe and sound? I hope I can watch its return!!

White Love

What a beautiful cold but sunny day here in Ontario. Over at Little Red Wagon, the challenge this week is to make a card using white on white. I have always wanted to try this and since it is Valentine's Day...almost... I tested the waters!  I used Divine Swirl to emboss the background and cut the heart from the Storybook Cartridge and in turn embossed it in Swiss Dots. There almost looks to be a face on the cut. I used some pale pink ribbon with white dots from Joann's and the Love sentiment comes from Kimmie's stamps. I will also enter it into the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut - "Share the Love".

Adhesives!! Yahoo!!

Simply amazing!!! I won an adhesive package from thecroppingcanuck!! She also listed on her sidebar Canadian symbols on Cricut cartridges. I thought that was very helpful. Go and visit her at  thecroppingcanuck.blogspot.com. Look what I won.....  THANK YOU Tracey!

I seem to have been Valentine-ally challenged this week! I have been trying to put together a few cards of love. This card uses the Sweethearts cartridge, and I finally was able to test my PK stamps! I love the look on his little face! I added some gold stitching to the crown, some frog love hearts and the brown ribbon. The sentiment I made up on the computer. The paper is from BoBunny.
